Houses at Scarborough - Where the City Meets the Sea

Scarborough, Sandgate and Shorncliffe are three lovely suburbs that meet the shoreline here in Brisbane. Sure the beach isn’t anything special but these lovely suburbs ooze charm with their delightfully restored Queenslander houses, as well as home grown corner stores and fish and chip shops. The shoreline is also a favourite spot for walkers and bike riders with a large footpath stretching along the shoreline, right next to the water. As you walk along the walkway you will come across pockets of family picnic areas, playgrounds and even a water park.
I don’t get to visit this area often enough but when I do I try to make the most of it. I especially love the beautifully restored Queenslander homes that are dotted along the shore line. Here are a few great examples of the houses I came across on my most recent trip to these sea side suburbs.

Which house do you like best? I would happily live in any one of these houses.
